Edward Bruce Mears Jr., a 62-year-old musician and carpenter from Oak Hall, Virginia, tragically lost his life on December 4, 2021. His death was the result of a violent crime that culminated in a fire at his residence. On the night of December 4, the New Church Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 6000 block of Lankford Highway.
