In the summer of 2021, a domestic incident in Virginia Beach escalated into a fatal shooting, claiming the life of 35-year-old Ritz M. Johnson. The male victim was found with gunshot wounds by Virginia Beach police on the afternoon of July 18 in the 1500 block of Cape Ann Way. Despite the immediate response, Johnson succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
