In the quiet city of Portsmouth, Virginia, a tragic event unfolded on the evening of Friday, October 8, 2021, ending the life of 41-year-old Soren Arn-Oelschlegel. A well-regarded real estate agent, Arn-Oelschlegel was fatally shot by a client in a shocking murder-suicide. The perpetrator was identified as 84-year-old Albert Baglione, who had recently purchased a home through Arn-Oelschlegel.
Just days before the fatal encounter, Arn-Oelschlegel had expressed his professional
satisfaction on social media, congratulating his out-of-town buyer on his new home. Baglione, who was from Alabama, had purchased the house on Bolling Road sight-unseen. However, upon moving in, he was reportedly unhappy with his new residence. This dissatisfaction appears to have been the catalyst for the tragic events that followed. On that Friday evening, Arn-Oelschlegel had gone to the house to meet with Baglione, seemingly in an effort to address his client's concerns.
Around 6 p.m., police responded to a call at the Bolling Road address. When they arrived, they were met by Baglione, who was armed and confessed to killing his real estate agent.
