In the late hours of November 28, 2021, the community of Greenbush, Virginia, was disturbed by the sound of gunshots. Responding to a call, deputies from the Accomack County Sheriff's Office arrived at the 21000 block of Adams Road to find a man lying unresponsive in a yard. The man was identified as 30-year-old Eric Gerard Ames, known to his friends and family as 'EZ.' He was pronounced dead at the scene.
