In the winter of 2010, the life of Paris N. Powell Jr., a 23-year-old Black male from Waretown, New Jersey, was abruptly cut short. On the evening of January 6th, Powell, who was also known by the nickname 'Prolific,' was fatally wounded by gunfire in Neptune, New Jersey. A furniture mover by trade and a member of the Deliverance Temple in Asbury Park, his death was a profound loss to his family and community.
