In the winter of 2014, a hardworking father's life was tragically cut short on the streets of Irvington, New Jersey. Charles Anthony McKinney Jr., a 37-year-old Black or African American man from Newark, was shot and killed while sitting in his SUV in the 200 block of 21st Street on the afternoon of February 24, 2014.
