In the early morning hours of May 2, 2015, a violent encounter in Newark, New Jersey, claimed the life of 45-year-old Gary Wyckoff, Jr., a Black male. The fatal incident unfolded just before 5:30 a.m. inside an after-hours club located at 49 Sherman Avenue. Wyckoff was shot multiple times in what authorities have described as a targeted attack.
