In the summer of 2015, a violent encounter in South Toms River, New Jersey, tragically cut short the life of 27-year-old Willie Z. Love III. On the evening of June 8th, Love was driving a vehicle with three passengers when another car, a 2004 Dodge Nitro, pulled up alongside them. The driver of the Nitro, later identified as Marcus Samuels, recklessly fired a handgun into Love's vehicle. A single shot struck Willie Love in the shoulder and chest.
