Richard W. Pereira, a 26-year-old male, tragically lost his life on January 28, 2017, in what was determined to be a hunting accident in a wooded area off Locker Street in Berkeley Township, a community near Toms River, New Jersey. Born in Toms River, Pereira had spent most of his life in the nearby town of Waretown. An avid outdoorsman, he was deer hunting with his father and two friends on that fateful Saturday morning.
