On a Saturday night in September 2015, tragedy struck in a parking lot on Central Avenue in Newark, New Jersey, forever changing the lives of the family and friends of Hassan Chatmon. The 28-year-old male from East Orange was fatally shot in an act of violence that left the community searching for answers. The incident occurred at approximately 9 p.m. on September 19, 2015.
