In a quiet neighborhood in Merchantville, New Jersey, the evening of February 22, 2016, was shattered by violence that claimed the life of 21-year-old Joshua Simmons. A resident of nearby Pennsauken, Simmons was discovered unconscious on the sidewalk in the unit block of Russell Avenue. First responders, arriving at approximately 8:31 p.m., found him suffering from a gunshot wound.
