In the late afternoon of April 26, 2016, Rondell Rush, a 17-year-old male, was with a group of friends outside his home on Fulton Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey. A promising senior at Dickenson High School, Rush was an honor roll student who was in the process of finalizing his college plans. He also worked at a local tax business to gain practical experience. The normalcy of the day was shattered at approximately 5 p.m. when he was struck by a gunshot to the head.
