In the autumn of 2016, a fatal shooting in Irvington, New Jersey, claimed the life of 38-year-old Lloyd R. Brummel Jr. On the afternoon of October 25th, at approximately 4:35 p.m., Brummel was standing near his work vehicle in the 300 block of Myrtle Avenue when he was shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene less than twenty minutes later. The Black / African American man was a resident of Irvington.
