In the late hours of a Friday night in Atlantic City, the life of David Blackwell Jr., a 31-year-old man from Hammonton, New Jersey, was tragically cut short. On May 5, 2017, at approximately 10:15 p.m., police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a man down in the 800 block of N. Virginia Avenue. Upon arrival outside the Barclay Arms Apartments, officers discovered Blackwell unresponsive, having sustained a gunshot wound.
