In the early morning hours of May 19, 2018, the life of 20-year-old Paris Lee of Plainfield, New Jersey, was tragically cut short. The young man, known for his love of basketball, dancing, and video games, was found in the parking lot of Angels Gentlemen's Club on Spring Street in Elizabeth. He had sustained numerous gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene around 2:30 a.m.
Paris was a lifelong resident of Plainfield and was employed as a warehouseman at the time of his passing.
For seven months, the investigation into Lee's death continued, led by the Union County Homicide Task Force with assistance from several other law enforcement agencies. A significant breakthrough in the case came in December 2018, when two men were arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting. The suspects were identified as 27-year-old Dashaun Jackson of Plainfield and 29-year-old Lucian Faulcon of Scotch Plains. Both men were charged with murder and related weapons offenses.
Following their arrests, a Union County grand jury handed up an eight-count indictment against both Jackson and Faulcon, which included charges of murder, conspiracy, and weapons offenses.
