In the late hours of a Tuesday night in Newark, New Jersey, the life of 26-year-old Kawiiy Banks of Irvington was tragically cut short. On June 12, 2018, at approximately 11:32 p.m., gunfire erupted in the area of South 6th Street and 11th Avenue. Banks was struck by the bullets, and emergency services were called to the scene. He was swiftly transported to University Hospital in a fight for his life.
