In the summer of 2018, a burst of violence on the streets of Newark, New Jersey, claimed the life of 25-year-old Dacraig D. Johnson. On the evening of July 4th, as Independence Day celebrations were underway, shots rang out near the intersection of 16th Avenue and Fairmount Avenue.
