In the early hours of a late summer morning in Camden, New Jersey, the life of 20-year-old Tyriq Smith was tragically cut short. On August 31, 2019, at approximately 12:50 a.m., the sound of gunfire pierced the night in the Whitman Park neighborhood, prompting a ShotSpotter activation that would lead police to a grim discovery.
