Wayne Brown, a 25-year-old male from Atlantic City, New Jersey, spent the late morning of Wednesday, August 12, 2020, inside the Madison Hotel on South Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard when the quiet of the building’s 11th floor was broken by gunfire. Around 11:45 a.m., a 911 call reported a shooting at the hotel, bringing Atlantic City police rushing to the scene.
