On what was supposed to be a creative afternoon, Shaheed Little, a 31-year-old Black or African American male, tragically lost his life on February 8, 2021, in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Little, a resident of Sicklerville, had driven with an acquaintance, Tyzir S. Hall, to a home on the 400 block of South Avenue in Bridgeton with the intention of recording music in a basement studio.
The session took a violent turn when Hall reportedly opened fire, fatally wounding Little, who was pronounced
dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. The violence did not end with Little's death. Hall also shot two other individuals in the house. A man was shot in the face, and a woman was shot in the leg. Both of these victims survived their injuries. Following the shooting, Hall fled the scene in Little's vehicle.
The investigation quickly identified 21-year-old Tyzir Hall of Clementon as the suspect. A manhunt ensued, and the U.S. Marshals Service became involved in the search, considering Hall to be armed and extremely dangerous. In October 2021, Hall was located and apprehended in Philadelphia. Upon his arrest, he was found in possession of multiple firearms and hollow-point ammunition.
Hall faced a series of serious charges, including first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, and several weapons offenses. In March 2022, a grand jury indicted him on these charges. The case proceeded to trial, where evidence such as surveillance footage, ballistics, and cell phone records were presented. In May 2025, a jury found Tyzir Hall guilty of murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapons possession charges. He was subsequently sentenced to a term of 30 years to life in prison for the murder, with additional time for the other convictions. While justice was served through the legal system, the motive for the sudden and tragic shooting has not been publicly disclosed by authorities.
