In the early evening of April 29, 2021, the life of 25-year-old Ramire Harvey, a male resident of Trenton, New Jersey, was tragically cut short. First responders were initially called to the 400 block of North Clinton Avenue around 6:30 p.m. for what appeared to be a motor vehicle accident. At the scene, they discovered a dark-colored Audi sedan that had crashed into two parked cars.
Inside the vehicle, in the driver's seat, they found Ramire Harvey unresponsive.
It quickly became apparent that this was no ordinary car crash. The Audi was riddled with multiple bullet holes, and Harvey had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. He was rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
The Mercer County Homicide Task Force immediately launched an investigation into the shooting. Initial reports at the scene suggested the vehicle might have been stolen, but investigators later confirmed this was not the case. The area around North Clinton Avenue and Poplar Street was secured as detectives canvassed for evidence and sought to piece together the events that led to the deadly encounter.
In the days following the incident, authorities appealed to the public for any information that might lead to the apprehension of those responsible for Ramire Harvey's death. However, despite the ongoing investigation, no arrests have been publicly announced in connection with the homicide. The case remains an open and active investigation, leaving a family and a community searching for answers and justice for a life taken too soon.
