In the quiet neighborhood of East Orange, New Jersey, the evening of Sunday, April 23, 2022, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When police were dispatched to Sunnyside Terrace, near Hudson Avenue, at approximately 7:30 p.m., they discovered a grim scene. Gregory Evens, a 46-year-old male from the nearby town of Irvington, was found suffering from several apparent gunshot wounds.
