In the city of Camden, New Jersey, a distressing event unfolded on a Wednesday morning, forever altering the lives of those involved. On May 18, 2022, a 37-year-old Caucasian woman named Nicole Carr was fatally wounded inside a residence on Eutaw Avenue. The incident, which took place at approximately 11:00 a.m., stemmed from a violent altercation that escalated with tragic consequences.
Earlier that morning, a dispute reportedly began while Carr was cooking.
Accounts from the scene indicate that a man, later identified as 36-year-old Marquis Fletcher, was present in the home. An argument erupted, during which Fletcher allegedly struck Carr. Another man, a 61-year-old relative of Fletcher's, overheard the commotion and intervened. Following this initial confrontation, Fletcher left the residence, only to return a short time later, allegedly armed with a gun.
Upon his return, the situation intensified dramatically. Fletcher reportedly engaged in a physical struggle with both Nicole Carr and the older man.
