In the summer of 2022, the life of 33-year-old Kyshon Butey Washington-Walker was abruptly cut short by a senseless act of gun violence in Asbury Park, New Jersey. On the evening of July 28, just four days before his birthday, Washington-Walker was shot multiple times on the 1600 block of Sewall Avenue. First responders rushed him to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead a short time later.
