Donnell Gillespie, a 31-year-old male, was fatally shot in Newark, New Jersey, on August 31, 2022. The incident occurred around noon on the 1000 block of Lyons Avenue, where Newark police discovered Gillespie suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after, at 12:18 p.m.
