Juwanna Sharonda Fonrose, a 25-year-old Black / African American woman from East Orange, New Jersey, was fatally shot in Newark on the afternoon of September 28, 2022. The attack occurred in broad daylight, around 2:45 p.m., on the 400 block of Central Avenue. Fonrose was inside a parked car when another vehicle, described as a grey Acura TLX carrying two individuals, pulled up beside her.
