In the crisp autumn afternoon of October 3, 2022, just as the school day ended, 16-year-old Letrell Duncan’s life was tragically cut short on the streets of East Orange, New Jersey. A sophomore at East Orange Campus High School and a rising basketball star, he was walking home around 3:15 p.m. when he was fatally shot multiple times near the intersection of Lincoln Street and Park Avenue.
