In the winter of 1986, a tragic series of events unfolded in Detroit, leading to the death of 37-year-old Giacomo 'Jack' Buffa, a male police officer. On the evening of Wednesday, February 5th, Buffa, a 13-year veteran of the Detroit Police Department, was working in plainclothes with his partner. The two officers were in the process of conducting a drug raid at a residence located at 537 E. Euclid.
