In the late winter of 2009 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the life of 47-year-old Tina Stevens was tragically cut short. On March 22, 2009, she was killed by a single gunshot wound to the chest in her own home. Her husband, Danny Stevens, who was 42 years old at the time, was identified as the perpetrator. The incident led to his arrest and the beginning of a legal process that would uncover the unfortunate end to their marriage. Tina was a female who was born in Chicago, Illinois.
Following an investigation into the shooting, Danny Stevens was charged with the murder of his wife. Instead of proceeding to a full trial, he chose to enter into a plea agreement with the prosecution. On August 17, 2009, in a Berrien County courtroom, he pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree murder. This plea was an admission of his responsibility for the death of his wife.
As a result of his guilty plea, Danny Stevens was sentenced to a lengthy prison term for the murder of Tina. He received a minimum sentence of 25 years and a maximum sentence of 37 and a half years of incarceration. He is currently serving his sentence in the Michigan Department of Corrections.
