Patricia "Katie" Williams, a 33-year-old Detroit police officer, tragically lost her life on September 22, 2009, in Canton, Michigan. She was shot and killed by her estranged husband, Edward "Ed" Williams, who was also a Detroit police homicide detective. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Canton Public Library. After shooting Katie, Ed Williams fatally shot himself.
