James David Bonneau, a 26-year-old police officer from Jackson, Michigan, tragically lost his life on March 9, 2010. Officer Bonneau was responding to a domestic disturbance report at 140 Mitchell Street when the incident occurred. He and an officer from the Blackman Township Department of Public Safety were following up on a report from earlier in the night.
