In the summer of 2023, on June 19th, the life of 29-year-old Keon Devonte Aguilar, a Black male, was tragically cut short. A U.S. Army veteran, Aguilar was found deceased inside his home on Hollis Street in Summit Township, a part of Jackson County, Michigan. The cause of his death was a gunshot wound, and authorities were quick to investigate the matter as a homicide.
