Girly Chew Hossencofft, a 36-year-old Malaysian-born woman, disappeared from Albuquerque, New Mexico, on September 9, 1999. Girly was in the midst of a tumultuous divorce from her estranged husband, Diazien Hossencofft, who had a history of threats and violence towards her. In the months leading up to her disappearance, Girly expressed concerns to friends and even an FBI agent, fearing for her life due to Diazien’s increasingly bizarre and dangerous behavior.
