In the early morning hours of July 14, 2021, the life of Patrick Perry, a 35-year-old Black or African American male, was tragically cut short in Jackson, Michigan. Police responded to a call around 2:30 a.m. and discovered Perry lying in the roadway. Initially, it was believed he had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
