In the late afternoon of February 19, 1985, the Yuma Police Department responded to a call concerning a deceased person in the vicinity of 160 east 1st street. Upon their arrival at around 5:30 p.m., officers discovered the body of a man identified as Thomas Gonzales, who was also known by the nickname 'Town'.
