In July 2014, 18-year-old Brooke Slocum from Wyoming, Michigan, was tragically murdered after a harrowing sequence of events involving her boyfriend, Charles Oppenneer, and a man named Brady Oestrike. Slocum, who was eight months pregnant, and Oppenneer connected with Oestrike through a Craigslist ad, arranging a sexual encounter in which Oppenneer would be present.
