Billy Chernow Jr., a 35-year-old resident of McGregor, Michigan, was found dead in his bed on October 12, 2014, in Bridgehampton Township, Sanilac County. The Sanilac County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from a neighbor who discovered Chernow's body after he failed to show up for work. An autopsy conducted by the Sanilac County Medical Examiner, Dr. William Starbird, confirmed that Chernow died from a gunshot wound to the head, and his death was ruled a homicide.
