Brigita Karamatic, aged 44, tragically lost her life on June 25, 2015, in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The incident was identified as a murder-suicide, where Brigita was killed by her husband, Sebastijan Karamatic, who then turned the gun on himself. Both were found with gunshot wounds to their heads at their residence in the Polo Green Apartments. The couple's adult children were present in the home at the time of the incident but were unharmed.
