Elizabeth McKalpain, aged 67, was found dead on March 2, 2020, in her home in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The tragic incident was part of a murder-suicide involving her husband, Herman McKalpain, aged 66. The couple, who were lifelong friends and had reconnected and married just a year prior, were discovered by police in their condo near 16 Mile and Schoenherr Roads. Elizabeth was found with a gunshot wound, and Herman was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
