On the afternoon of August 20, 2015, Renee Bradford, a 51-year-old Black female, was standing outside a car on Detroit's east side, engaged in a conversation, when her life was tragically cut short. A vehicle drove by, and an occupant opened fire, striking and killing Ms. Bradford in what police would later describe as a gang-related drive-by shooting.
