Hope Elferdink, aged 38, tragically died on June 5, 2016, in Emmett Township, Michigan. Her death was the result of a murder-suicide involving her husband, Deputy Mark Elferdink, aged 43. The couple was found dead in the backyard of their home on McAllister Road. The Calhoun County Sheriff's Department confirmed that Mark Elferdink shot his wife three times before turning the gun on himself.
