Death by Force

Margaret Jean Sanford, aged 73, was found dead on August 12, 2016, in her home located in Napoleon Township, Michigan. The Jackson County Sheriff's Department responded to a welfare check at her residence on Clarklake Road after she had not been seen for several days. Upon arrival, officers observed a woman inside the home who was unresponsive. A man, later identified as Roger Sanford, 62, was also present but refused to communicate with the officers or allow them entry.
