In the late autumn of 2016, the life of 23-year-old Tayvion Wells was tragically cut short in Flint, Michigan. A Black male, Wells was fatally wounded by gunfire on Saturday, November 19, 2016. He was rushed to Hurley Medical Center, but succumbed to his injuries. His death was ruled a homicide, marking another life lost to gun violence in the city.
