In the spring of 2017, a young man’s life was cut short in a burst of violence that claimed two other lives. Twenty-three-year-old Darrian Jones was killed on March 18, 2017, in a triple homicide on Detroit's west side. The shooting also resulted in the deaths of 43-year-old Michelle Davis and 60-year-old Robert Pittman.
