In the early morning hours of July 30, 2017, a burst of violence on Detroit's I-94 freeway claimed the lives of two aspiring rappers, including 26-year-old African-American Domonique Brown. Brown and her companion, Ramell Campbell, were traveling eastbound in her white 2017 Chrysler 200 near the Livernois Avenue exit when another vehicle pulled alongside them and unleashed a hail of gunfire.
