In the early morning hours of March 24, 2018, the body of 22-year-old Joseph Bowser Jr. was discovered outside the River Apartments in Battle Creek, Michigan. An investigation revealed he had been fatally shot. At the time of his death, Bowser was a promising engineering student at Western Michigan University, with an expected graduation in 2019.
