In a tragic turn of events stemming from a personal dispute, 25-year-old Phillip Hudson lost his life in a fatal shootout on May 24, 2018. The incident unfolded at a Clark gas station on Schaefer Highway in Detroit, Michigan. Hudson was a member of the Outlaws motorcycle club.
The confrontation involved another man, Martez Fenderson, who was a member of the Soul Devils motorcycle club. An exchange of gunfire between the two men resulted in the deaths of both individuals at the scene.
Initial concerns of a dispute between rival motorcycle clubs were quickly dismissed by investigators.
Authorities determined that the deadly encounter was not related to their club affiliations but was the result of a personal conflict. As both parties involved in the shooting were deceased, the Detroit Police Department considered the case closed.
