Marcel Dubose, a 26-year-old from Highland Park, Michigan, was fatally shot on October 10, 2016, outside the Original Hip Hop Shop in Detroit. Dubose, who had a passion for music and often sold his CDs on the street, was reportedly shot by Keith B. Hudson, the owner of the hip-hop clothing store. According to initial police reports, Hudson claimed he acted in self-defense, believing Dubose was attempting to rob the store.
