In the afternoon of a fall day in Pittsburgh's Manchester neighborhood, tragedy struck, forever altering the lives of those connected to Joseph Anthony Sees. On Sunday, October 22, 2023, the 29-year-old man was discovered inside a vehicle at the intersection of Stedman and Fontella Streets. He had been shot in the head and left shoulder. Emergency services were called to the scene just before 4:30 p.m., and Sees was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
