On October 22, 2023, 29-year-old Joseph Anthony Sees was fatally shot in Pittsburgh's Manchester neighborhood. Police responded to reports of a shooting around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Stedman and Fontella Streets, where they found Sees in the driver's seat of a vehicle with gunshot wounds to his head and left shoulder. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
