On May 16, 2008, an 11-year-old boy named Erick Salguero Franco was last seen in or near Nogales, Arizona. At the time of his disappearance, Erick, a male of Hispanic/Latino ethnicity, stood at 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighed approximately 101 pounds. He had black hair and black eyes. When he was last seen, he was wearing a black shirt, black camouflage pants, and black Fila brand shoes. The Nogales Police Department has been handling the investigation into his disappearance.

Erick is originally from El Salvador and had embarked on a journey to the United States. The last known contact his family had with him was a phone call he made from Mexico City, Mexico, before he was last seen in Nogales. Since that phone call and his last sighting, he has not been heard from again. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are not fully detailed, but it is known that he was attempting to cross the border. His case is classified as a migrant case.

Over the years, efforts to locate Erick have continued. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has created age-progressed photos to show what he might look like as he got older. One such photo shows him age-progressed to 17 years old. Despite these efforts and the passage of time, Erick Salguero Franco remains missing. The case is a poignant reminder of the vulnerabilities faced by migrant children. The lack of detailed information available to the public highlights the complexities and challenges involved in investigating such cases, especially when they span across international borders.
